1. Introduction & Definitions
DShow is an online intermediary marketplace connecting Event Organizers (individuals, businesses, wedding planners) with Artists, musicians, bands, DJs, and Sound & Lighting Providers. DShow provides tools for search, scheduling, digital contracts, secure escrow payments, and two-way reviews.
Role of DShow: DShow provides the technological platform. DShow is not an artist, performer, or event organizer, and does not directly provide performance services. The performance service contract is established directly between the Customer and the Partner.
1.1. Terms & Definitions
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Customer | Event organizer who books and pays for performance services via DShow. |
| Partner | Artist, band, DJ, musician, or sound/lighting provider offering services. |
| Booking | A confirmed performance service order on the platform. |
| Escrow | Held-funds mechanism: DShow securely holds payments and releases them to the Partner after event completion. |
| Showtime (G) | The scheduled start time on the booking; used as the milestone for cancellation/change calculations. |
| No-show | Failure of a party to attend or perform agreed obligations without prior notice. |
2. Accounts & Eligibility
- Users must be at least 18 years old with full legal capacity.
- Registration information must be accurate, truthful, and updated. Partners must complete identity verification (ID/Passport), professional licenses (if applicable), and audition screening upon request.
- Each user is responsible for safeguarding their login credentials and all activities occurring under their account.
- Non-circumvention clause: Within 12 months of being connected through DShow, Customers and Partners must not transact directly outside the platform to bypass the DShow transaction protection system. Violations may result in account termination and damage claims.
3. Booking & Confirmation Process
1. Customer selects a Partner, reviews pricing, portfolio, and ratings, then chooses the date, time, and venue.
2. Customer creates a request and contacts the Partner directly in the app to discuss and agree the service details before committing.
3. Once both sides agree, the Customer pays a deposit or the full amount to confirm the booking (see Section 4). The booking becomes effective only after the payment or deposit succeeds and the Partner confirms it on the platform.
4. An electronic contract is automatically generated, specifying scope, duration, venue, showtime, and price.
5. Following the event, both parties submit reviews. For online payments, escrow funds are released to the Partner. For cash bookings, the Customer pays the remaining balance directly to the Partner once the event is complete.
If the Partner does not confirm within the designated time frame, the booking is automatically canceled and the Customer receives a 100% refund.
4. Payment, Escrow & Disbursement Policy
4.1. Payment Methods
DShow supports two payment methods, chosen by the Customer and Partner when the booking is created:
- Bank transfer / online payment: the Customer pays through the channels supported in the app (local/international cards, e-wallets, bank transfer/QR). The full amount is held by DShow in escrow (see Section 4.2) and released to the Partner only after the event is complete.
- Cash: the Customer must pay a deposit of at least 30% of the booking value through the app to confirm the order. The remaining 70% is paid in cash directly to the Partner after the event, as agreed between the two parties.
4.2. Escrow Mechanism
Applies to bank transfer / online payments: the full amount is held by DShow and is NOT immediately transferred to the Partner.
Disbursement: DShow disburses funds to the Partner 24 hours after the event concludes, provided no dispute has been opened by the Customer.
If a valid dispute is opened, disbursement is placed on hold until resolution (see Section 8).
4.3. Service Fees
DShow charges no commission or service fee on transactions. The platform is entirely free for both Customers and Partners. Third-party payment gateway fees (if any) are non-refundable in all cancellation scenarios, and apply to online payments only.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
All timeframes below are calculated relative to the Showtime (G) stated on the booking. Refund amounts are processed back to the original payment method within 7–14 business days. The policy differs depending on the payment method used.
5.1. Customer Cancellation (Tiered by Time)
| Cancellation Time (Before Showtime G) | Online / bank transfer | Cash (30% deposit) |
|---|---|---|
| 3 days or more | 100% Refund* | Full deposit refunded |
| 1 to under 3 days | 90% Refund (10% retained) | 10% of total retained — 20% of the deposit refunded |
| 2 hours to under 24 hours | 80% Refund (20% retained) | 20% of total retained — 10% of the deposit refunded |
| Under 2 hours or Customer No-show | 70% Refund (30% retained) | Entire deposit retained (30%), nothing further refunded |
*100% refund excludes third-party payment processing fees (if applicable). For online payments, the retained amount goes entirely to the Partner as compensation for holding the date.
5.2. Partner Cancellation or No-Show
Partners commit to fulfill confirmed bookings. If a Partner unilaterally cancels or fails to show up without an approved force majeure reason:
- 100% Refund to Customer: The Customer is refunded the full payment amount including all fees promptly.
- Replacement Support: DShow prioritizes helping the Customer find a suitable replacement artist.
- Customer Compensation: The Partner must pay an additional 20% compensation of the booking value if canceling within 7 days before Showtime or in case of a no-show.
- Sanctions: Partner reputation score reduction, search ranking demotion, temporary funds hold; accounts with ratings below 3.5/5 or repeat offenses will be delisted.
5.3. Force Majeure
Natural disasters, epidemics, government orders, severe accidents or verified medical emergencies constitute force majeure. In these cases, rescheduling is prioritized; if impossible, the Customer receives a full refund with no penalties or damages applied to either party.
6. Venue & Showtime Rescheduling Policy
Any change to venue or showtime of a confirmed booking requires mutual consent of both parties (Customer and Partner). Neither party may change unilaterally.
- Mutual Consent: Reschedule requests must be submitted in-app and become valid only when accepted by the other party.
- Notice Period: Requests should be submitted at least 48 hours prior to Showtime.
- Upon agreement, the digital contract is updated with new details; cancellation and refund milestones are recalculated based on the new Showtime.
- Lack of Consent: If either party refuses the change, the original booking remains binding. A party unable to perform under original terms is subject to the Cancellation Policy in Section 5.
- Cost adjustments arising from venue changes (e.g., travel distance, equipment) must be agreed and adjusted on the platform prior to confirmation.
